Trap Report December 2012

The December Round Robin Trap shoot was held at Oak Tree Gun Club in Newhall on Sunday Dec. 9th.

Due to the holidays, the school & work schedules of some of our junior members, as well as an Olympic qualification small bore match for one of our new top competitors β€” we were a bit short of filling all three teams.
However, that did not, by any means, hold back the Panorama trap shooters. The Bears team shot what Round Robin President Bud Bowen called β€œan amazing score of 450 out of 500.”
It's not always easy to get ten people to come together on the same day and post a score like that, but the PSC team pulled it off.

Top Gun for the team was our new shooter and junior member Quintin with a 49 out of 50.
Jeff Passanante said he had a good feeling about the day and sure enough he was right. Jeff posted a 48 for the day.
David C, Dale Kotrbe, Jim Walker and Mike Elder backed them up with 47's.
There were many other impressive scores but the Panorama shooters and the Lions Team polished off the day with a more than ac-ceptable score 426 out of 500.
Trophy winners for the day included Quintin being in a three way shoot off for high gun. After two impressive rounds, Quintin walked away with the second High Gun silver buckle.
Topped only by Panora-ma and Gopher member Maurice Pontani who was shooting for Gophers and won the High Gun shoot off with 24 out of 25.
Dale Kotrbe, after a three round shoot off, took the second high senior vet award and Kirk Thompson won the second high vet award.
David C won the year end award for High Junior; and Quintin J took High Sub-Junior for the year.
Ending the year with scores like that can only encourage those who worked so hard all year to prepare for an even better and more active trap program in 2013.
