Youth Report December 2012

What a Year for our Tigers!  The year started in Kingsburg with our kids competing as team and coming in second place statewide in the opening match of the season.

Competing and representing PSC while shooting “bunker” or Olympic style trap Stephanie continued to learn the game and shine, winning medal after medal in her category while traveling the continent and moving ever closer to her goal of an Olympic medal in the future. Stephanie had great success in California, Colorado, and Mexico.

Meanwhile back on the American trap fields of California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah and Illinois’, we had a number of other amazing young shooters representing PSC.
We managed to take a full team to Las Vegas for a spring SCTP match. Four of our young stars who decided they wanted to compete at a very high ATA and AIM (the youth division of the ATA) level, got serious and began to travel far and wide in order to compete against the best of the best. David , Anna, Quintin and sometimes Raymond hit the road to win in Santa Ynez and to win again in Redlands. Then they won the CA Southern Zone tournament, victored the Western zone (10 states), and took the State Championships in Kingsburg as well as The Grand American Championships in Sparta Illinois.

Some of our other young shooters are: Lauren, Dimitri, Summer, Dylan, Nathan, Rob, Nick, Lindsey, Jason, and Floyd.
The hardware that these young PSC shooting ambassadors accumulated this past season could fill an entire room!

What a great group of kids we have.
