Youth Report October 2012

Last month the Dynamic Duo traveled to Santa Lucia Shooting Club in San Luis Obispo to shoot in the Mud Slide 400.

A pretty huge ATA match with about two hundred competitors over two days. This match is a 400 bird handicap only shoot.
On the first day, as David was “struggling” at his new yardage of 22.5 and only broke an 89 / 90, Quintin was like a machine and broke 186 birds to capture the Junior title for the day. He took home a nice trophy and put himself in contention for HOA for the weekend.
On the second day, David came out smoking and shot a 96 to win the morn-ing event. He followed it up with a 89 in the afternoon, not enough to win the tournament outright, but more than enough to win high Junior honors and a nice trophy for the day.
David followed that up with a 99/100 for a victory in the first event of the AIM National Virtual Tourna-ment on October 6th, with more to come.
Congratulations and great job to our PSC Tiger youth.
By the way, from now on it will optional for our league shooters to reg-ister their birds with the ATA when they shoot, ATA fee 1.50 per fifty birds.
