Three PSC shooters represented not only all of us but the entire Southern California Zone Junior Team. There were five altogether and three came from PSC. They are the current reigning Champions of Champions (that’s what it says on the Trophy’s they won).
This, I am very proud to say, is just the beginning of what the PSC Kids accomplished while shooting in the California State Trap Shooting Championships. Some of the Kids were in Kingsburg all week.

The California State Trap shooting Championships are composed of nine events over five days immediately following the Pre –State shoot which began on 6.17 and ended on 6.19.
The very impressive showing began with the pre-state shoot in which PSC shooters won; the Yardage Championship, Second place, High Lady, Second High Gun in the singles event with a ridiculous 196 / 200.

As the actual State championships began the kids from PSC really began to shine with the following wins;
Event # 1 Class Singles
Lady Runner up 197/200
Junior Runner up 193/200
Event # 2 Member Memorial HDCP
Junior Runner up. 94/100
Lady Runner up 95/100
Event # 3 Vice Presidents HDCP
Lady Champion 96/100
Event # 4 Eiler Insurance HDCP
Junior Champion 96/100
Lady Runner up 93/100
Sub JR. Champion 97/100
Event # 5 Class Doubles
Lady Runner up 95/100
Event # 6 Doubles Championship
Sub JR runner up 90/100
Event # 7 Presidents HDCP
High Gun Champion 99/100
Jr. Champion 96/100
Event # 8 Singles Championship
JR Runner up 196/200
Sub Jr. Runner up 195/200
Event # 9 HDCP Championship
3rd place sub JR. 90/100
HAA 400 Targets
D Champion 371/400
HOA 100 Targets
Lady Champion 1042/1100
D Champion 1 003/1100
To give you all an idea of what these competitors did over the course of the championships it was nothing more than putting 2000 shotgun rounds in the air over the course of a week.
Our congratulations and hardy YEE HAA’s to all of the PSC Kids who represented us so well in Kingsburg.
After some last minute personnel changes, PSC sent a group of our best junior shooters to Kingsburg to represent us in the Scholastic Clay Target Championships. The PSC Tigers had to move a Rookie and an Intermediate Entry level shooter to the Varsity Team.  When the smoke cleared and the competition was over the TIGERS had roared their way into a third place overall finish at the AIM / SCTP State Youth open Team Championships.

There was a lot more to applaud from the PSC Youth shooters too. One of our youths competing in only his second big competition and very first major event  finished on the podium with a third place finish in the individual Rookie standings.
Some of the PSC Youth’s other individual accomplishments were:  First place Varsity, Second place Lady, Second place Varsity, and Second place Intermediate Entry Division.
